There is no such thing as a perfect Bassoon reed. Still, everyone playing bassoon, no matter if a laymen or a professional, is dreaming of such a reed and it is everyone's aim to enjoy his hobby with good materials. Also, for professional bassoon-players to have a good reed is an important base for their working life. Usually, problems with canes and reeds can easily be removed with simple handgrips. This small booklet provides tips on playing and on how to set up and to maintain the bassoon reeds, it also shows the tools that are needed for this tasks.
We hope that our small and handy instruction manual will be of motivation and comfort on the way to not "the perfect reed" but a reed that is as suitable as possible for every single mouth. We hope you enjoy it!
